Contact Details
How to reach us.
Use the request form — enquiries submitted via the form are responded to faster than direct email contact.
Response time
Most requests receive a response from a matched lawyer within one business day. Urgent matters (court dates, bail, impending deadlines) are flagged for same-day response — mention the urgency clearly in your request.
Service area
We connect with lawyers across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia, South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT, and the Northern Territory.
Confidentiality
Your enquiry is treated as confidential. The information you share is used only to match you with an appropriate lawyer and is not used for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy.
Not sure which area of law applies?
Describe your situation as plainly as possible — we will match it to the right practice area. You do not need to know the name of the legal issue to submit a request.
Common Questions
Before you submit.
Is the initial consultation really free?
Yes. The consultation arranged through Request Legal Service is free — there is no cost to you for the initial conversation with a lawyer. If you decide to engage the lawyer after the consultation, their fees and terms are agreed directly between you and the lawyer, separate from this service.
What happens after I submit a request?
Your request is reviewed and matched to a lawyer in your state with experience in your specific area of law. That lawyer will contact you — typically by phone or email — to arrange a free initial consultation. For most requests this happens within one business day.
Do I have to proceed if a lawyer contacts me?
No. The consultation is informational — you can understand your options and decide whether to proceed with no obligation. If the lawyer is not the right fit, you can contact us again and we will attempt to make another match.
What if my matter is urgent?
Mention the urgency clearly in your request — include the court date, deadline, or time-sensitive event. Urgent requests are flagged and prioritised for same-day response where possible. For absolute emergencies (bail, imminent court appearance today), call Legal Aid in your state directly as well.
Can I submit a request on behalf of someone else?
Yes — you can submit on behalf of a family member or someone who needs help. Include the relevant information about the person the request is for and provide a contact number or email where the lawyer can reach you or that person directly.
Is this service available for businesses as well as individuals?
Yes. We handle requests from businesses and individuals. Business matters — including shareholder disputes, contract issues, employment law, and debt recovery — are covered. Select the most relevant practice area when submitting and describe the business context in your request.
